Leader Cable Industry, Berhad
Leader Cable Industry Berhad is a power and telecommunications cable manufacturer with more than 34 years of experience, having begun back in March 1976. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of the public-listed Leader Universal Holdings Berhad.
Over the years, we have grown to become Malaysia's single largest cable manufacturer. We are also a specialist turnkey contractor for high voltage electrical power cable projects.
We started exporting our telephone cables overseas in 1987 and by the same year, the export market made up 50 per cent of our company's total turnover.
In 1990, due to our successful penetration of the overseas market, we were honoured with the Prime Minister's Award for Export Excellence. In 1999, we received the excellence award again in recognition of our success.
